I Like A.F. Schepperd’s Music Videos

The new video for Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi (Featuring Jack White!)’s song “Two Against One” is pretty strange and engrossing. It features the animation of Anthony Francisco Schepperd. Despite the title, I don’t think this is a response to everyone’s favorite song.

That was also co-directed by Chris Milk! This isn’t the first great video he’s done for a Danger Mouse project.

You may also have seen A.F. Schepperd’s insane, fever-dream animation on the web before. He made this music video for Blockhead’s “The Music Scene”.

Sleep tight!

Roboman’s Riff (With Turtles)

Roboman is Damien Clarke, an old friend from Albinoblacksheep. He made Missile Game 3D, which has eaten many minutes of my life.

He also made this riff, which I tried to play above. The turtles helped.

Update: Someone asked for guitar tablature. Here’s how I play it: http://www.spinnerdisc.com/robomans_riff_tab.txt

I Love Ned Wenlock’s Music Videos

I love music videos. I especially love animated music videos. This new MGMT video is by Ned Wenlock and it’s gorgeous:

The best part about this is it gives me an excuse to also post another of Ned’s videos, which is one of my favorites: Apache by Danger Beach. I could watch this all day:

Don’t miss this making of interview, either.

The Captain Of Dogs

Sometimes I draw cartoons on Emily‘s napkins when she makes her lunch in the morning. Today’s was about our dog, Rosco, featuring a little song that often gets sung at our house:

Rosco is the Captain Of Dogs, you see.
