Tally Hall – Turn The Lights Off

I’ve wanted to make an animated video for this song for a long time, and I got the opportunity to make it mine back in August. I finally finished it about a week ago, just in time for Halloween.

If you haven’t heard Tally Hall yet, check them out.

Thanks to Sean Donnelly, from Awesome & Modest, who helped with the final file conversion, added some glow and depth to the video, and taught me some things about After Effects in the process. Sean did Tally Hall’s Ruler Of Everything video.

This video is FANTASTIC! Tally Hall is my very favorite band, and they deserve so much more than they get. Especially in light of the "&" video cancellation, you've done them a great service by making something so awesome and easy to spread. I salute you!

i enjoyed the song. ive never heard of Tally Hall but it was a good song. as for the animation im a bit corrupted by it because it really reminds me too much of Ween’s Transdermal Celebration video. not so much in the theme so much as in the kid and the dancing monsters. the resemblances are pretty strong for me. the animation is good, (im not an animator so im pretty impressed by it) but i cant help but see ween’s video when i watch it. keep it up though, its very good.
